The National Farmers’ Federation (NFF), in conjunction with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation (ARLF), is pleased to announce that the 2019 application round of the NFF 2030 Leaders Program is now open.
“The NFF recognises that if agriculture is to realise its bold vision for a $100 billion industry by 2030, we must support and develop our smart, passionate and agile young leaders” NFF’s Chief Executive Tony Mahar said.
Mr Mahar said the NFF, supported by ARLF, seeks to develop participants understanding of the shared leadership challenges and opportunities faced by Australian agriculture.
“The ARLF has a proven track record of developing leaders within our sector, which makes them an ideal partner to guide participants through this program.
The eleven successful participants will develop their leadership capabilities in critical thinking, persuasion and influence, negotiation, facilitation, and communication across a range of scenarios.
“Upon completion of the program, participants will gain entry into the NFF and ARLF alumni, providing ongoing peer support across the sector, and access to further opportunities as they arise,” Mr Mahar said.
The NFF encourages all individuals, over the age of 18, who can demonstrate an active involvement in agriculture (not limited to farming) to apply.
The program will run over two session in Canberra between September and October 2019.
Applications close Tuesday, 2 July 2019.
