Record: India’s largest construction machinery trade fair continues to grow

    • 700 exhibitors from 30 countries will display latest technologies
    • New products to be presented live in the demo sit
    • Far-reaching supporting program for visitors and exhibitors

The largest-ever bauma CONEXPO INDIA will open its doors in just a few days: Manufacturers from all parts of the world will present construction machinery, equipment and technological innovations from December 11 to 14 at the HUDA Ground in Gurgaon/Delhi. A multifaceted supporting program and live action in the demo area also await trade fair visitors and exhibitors.
India’s construction industry is booming, and the market for construction machinery is growing. One reason is the large amount of money that the Indian government is allocating into infrastructure projects. India is to become the world’s third-largest market for the global construction industry by 2025. “At the largest-ever bauma CONEXPO INDIA, exhibitors will display construction machinery and vehicles, building materials and mining machines as well as construction equipment—on more than 195,000 square meters,” said Bhupinder Singh, the CEO of bC Expo India.

Live action in the demo area

The trade fair in Delhi has attracted exhibitors from all parts of the world. Major players in the industry have expanded their booth space, including ACE, Case, Caterpillar, JCB, Kobelco, L&T, Liugong, PERI, Putzmeister, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Volvo, Wirtgen and Zoomlion. The German company Kaeser Kompressoren SE and the Indian manufacturer Tata Hitachi will attend for the first time.
Doosan Bobcat, JCB, Liugong, Peri, Schwing Stetter, Volvo Group and other exhibitors will present their products in the demo area. Visitors can discover technological innovations and see machines live in action here.

Conferences, talks and industry events

“bauma CONEXPO INDIA is the right place to close deals and learn more about the tremendous opportunities that India has to offer,” Singh says. The trade fair will offer a far-reaching supporting program with this very purpose in mind. The Builders’ Association of India (BAI), the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (iCEMA), the Construction Equipment Rental Association (CERA) and UBS Forums are organizing industry events.
BAI traditionally uses the trade fair as a networking platform for its members. As part of these activities, the BAI Managing Committee Meeting will be held on December 11, 2018. December 12, 2018, CERA will conduct an industry event titled “Leasing Construction Equipment—a Vital Need for a Growing India.”

Professional conference “Transportation Infrastructure”

UBS Forums will hold the professional conference “Transportation Infrastructure” on December 13 and 14, 2018 with key focus upon roads, railways and urban transportation. Highly respected speakers will talk about the impact of the government’s infrastructure initiatives on the growing economy. Other topics will include sustainable transportation in India and the digitalization of public transportation. Rail construction and rail-construction machinery will also be focal points along with the Sagar Mala Project, India’s development program for intermodal harbor hubs.
