Between September 9-11, Manitowoc Cranes will bring the latest additions to its Potain tower crane and Grove mobile crane ranges to the JDL Expo in Beaune, France.
Among the cranes on show will be the Grove GMK3060L all-terrain crane, which has been very well received since its debut at bauma 2019. The 60t-capacity crane combines a powerful seven-section 48 m long MEGAFORM main boom with a compact three-axle carrier of only 8,67 m length, making it ideal for a variety of work in tight locations. Having a maximum 8.5 t counterweight per 12 t axle, this lightweight machine is the best three-axle taxi crane on the market. The GMK3060L also features Manitowoc’s Crane Control System with boom configurator mode for fast and efficient set-up.
Manitowoc will also be showing the recently launched Potain Hup M 28-22 self-erecting crane. This mobile, compact and versatile crane can lift 2.2 t from its 28 m jib, and is quick and easy to erect, saving time and money.
In addition, Manitowoc will highlight the exclusive internal mast operator elevator Potain Cab-IN for top slewing cranes. This two-person elevator provides fast and efficient ascent to the cab without blocking access to the mast ladder. It does not impact erection times and is easy to transport since it is contained inside the crane mast. Since January 2019, French regulations require all tower cranes with a mast taller than 30 m to include elevator access to the cab.
“JDL provides a special opportunity for us to promote our innovations in France after a long quiet period. We are very excited to meet our customers again face to face and have a dialogue”,
said Orlando Mota, SVP Europe at Manitowoc Cranes.
This will be the first trade show that Manitowoc has attended since lockdown measures were introduced to combat COVID-19.
