Italy has a long history of being a substantial player in the industrial machinery sector, regularly finishing among the top 10 trade partners in the industry with the United States.
To invest in Italian Manufacturing Industries means having access to its unique export know-how, to a skilled and competitive workforce and to a constant attention towards the area of research and innovation. Moreover, the extensive network of SMEs, and the historical presence of industrial clusters, has made Italy a competitive player on the global market, able to supply high quality products, after sales assistance and the high-tech performances.
These characteristics have also allowed Italy to cope well with the new challenges of technological development represented by Industry 4.0 and 3D production techniques. The great flexibility and operational ductility of the Italian manufacturing Industry, which have always been one of the country’s strengths, have allowed Italy to compete with successful partners, signaling a true golden age for the industrial machinery exports.
In addition to this, Italy has always been renowned abroad, and especially in the United States, for its great Construction Expertise. As confirmed by Ance (Italian National Association of Building Contractors) Italian construction companies are more active abroad than at home. According to the Ance report, the majority of Italian Construction Contractors have followed the path of internationalization through large infrastructure, construction, building and tunneling works that have marked a trend that has been pursued unabated for over 15 years.
In 2021 Q1 & Q2, Italian machinery exports to the United States totaled $370 Million, where Italian machinery imports from the United States totaled nearly $50 Million – representing respective jumps of 24.2% and 9.5% compared to this time last year in 2020.
Las Vegas’ World of Concrete 2022 will be one of the first occasions to unveil the ITALIA updated construction equipment sector logo, newly designed to reflect a fresher, more powerful, identity of a maybe less known – but just as much intense – aspect of the world famous “Made in Italy” label.
During World of Concrete, the Italian Trade Agency will also present a US market economic analysis about the Equipment Machinery sector specifically commissioned to Cedar Consulting International.
